Hey Friends!
I look forward to you!
I’m Kristin, the heart behind The Living Lens Photography. I’m a Southern mama to three wonderful children and a handful of animals who keep life lively and full of stories worth remembering.
In addition to stepping into photography, I studied animal science and nursing and built a career as a nurse. Both experiences taught me compassion, patience, and the importance of noticing the details — qualities I now carry with me behind the lens.
Raised in an Air Force family, I grew up with a strong sense of adaptability, appreciation for people from all walks of life, and a deep love for home and heritage. Today, that influences how I approach each session: with gratitude, attentiveness, and the belief that every story deserves to be told with care.
For me, photography isn’t just about pictures — it’s about preserving the essence of the people, places, and moments we hold dear.
My approach

Photography, for me, isn’t about stiff poses or perfect angles—it’s about life as it is. I believe the best photos happen when you’re comfortable, relaxed, and just being yourself. That’s why I take a laid-back approach: I’ll meet you where you are, whether that’s running through a field with your kids, snuggled on the couch with your sweet pup, or celebrating a milestone with your favorites.
I don’t want you to feel like you’re “on display.” Instead, I’m there to quietly capture the laughter, the glances, the in-between moments that you’ll treasure later. I love the little, meaningful details.
At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to create honest, timeless images that feel like you and reflect your story.
